The DG01-B SECURITY DOOR LATCH is a superb home security option  for any kind of doorway that needs protecting, whether or not it's a main doorway leading outside, a regular room doorway, a basement door, as an example.

It is extremely robust and there's no way that you can open the doorway if the latch is placed on it. It also has a unique way of being locked  it gives a distinctive snap so it's actually good if you would like to keep your doorway closed and prevent drafts.

This is is my third  time buying the DG01-B for my home. I love this product  so much i will be  purchasing a few for my cousins new house as a gift. I think they are the best door locks for the money,hands down.

I also have a very intelligent golden retriever, that has learned how to open our rear door, which creates a huge security and safety  risk, he may be smart but not as smart as this door latch.

The installation was super simple, however, I had to use shorter screws on the wood doorway frame. The 3" screws were way too long for my needs - I suspect that 1.5 or 2" screws will do the job. I had placed mine approx. five inches above the dead bolt lock.
