For many people, video surveillance is an effective way of keeping the home safe and secure.  Video cameras can grant you eyes at any location in your house and grounds, thereby enabling to see areas that you otherwise cannot see, where it is not possible for you to be physically.  However, such implementation of home security can only go so far.

The Second Amendment is a law that grants Americans the right to own guns.  But even if this is a right given by law, it is nonetheless the duty of every gun-owning American to observe the laws that restrict them from using guns.  Using guns in a wrongful manner can create serious legal issues as well, even when you are just protecting the security of your home.

Therefore, before you go and buy a gun on the premise of promoting the security of your home, do your research on the laws restricting the use of guns in your city and state.  As much as you want to maintain the security of your home, the legal issues surrounding the wrongful use of guns is a trouble you would want to avoid.
