The GE 50723 motion sensing night light turns On instantly whenever motion is detected. The night light has a unique safety backing so that the lamp can't be touched during its operation. The light will turn Off sixty seconds after the last detected movement and will not turn On until some other motion is detected.

by a very large margin this light is the best sensor motion night lite currently on the  market, and I have tested quite a few of them. I purchased my first GE 50723 a few years back, and i have not rergrettet it.

So why do i recommend these night lights. The quality of the light they produce is absolutely amazing. the sensor field is a super sensitive 180 degrees, so it will pick up any movement without me having to stand right before the night light. Excellent product. If you are unsure if the GE 50723 Motion Sensing Night Light is worth the price trust me it is.

Not only does it have a light sensor, but it also has a motion sensor, that means that it turns itself on when it's dark and it senses movement, so that it does not stay on all night needlessly or annoyingly.

It has a large range of motion sensing  and stays on for just the correct amount of time to get you where you are going safely.

Granted, you must place the unit correctly. we positioned the fist one in the corridor at the summit of our second floor landing and the second right outside of our master bedroom and it has not failed us yet.
